ATG are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join a Dublin office. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and documentation to support energy projects. You will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are accurately captured and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and update detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for energy projects, including renewable energy, power generation, and utility infrastructure.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to translate concepts, sketches, and specifications into technical drawings.
- Maintain drawing libraries, templates, and standards to ensure consistency across projects.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure drawings meet client, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Assist in the development of design documentation, including layouts, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Support project teams with CAD-related queries and provide technical input when required.
- Stay current with CAD software developments and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician, preferably in the energy or engineering sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, MicroStation, Revit) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of engineering and technical drawings, standards, and conventions.
- Knowledge of energy sector requirements, including renewable energy, power generation, or utilities projects, is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualification in CAD, Engineering, or a related discipline.
