Civil 3D Technician

Overview

A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil 3D Technician to join its Dublin office. Working alongside civil engineers and multidisciplinary design teams, you will support the delivery of infrastructure projects across transportation, residential, commercial, water and public sector developments.

This role offers the opportunity to work on projects from concept through to detailed design using the latest digital engineering tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality engineering drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Develop road, drainage, earthworks and site development models.
• Prepare general arrangement, plan, profile and cross-section drawings.
• Assist with surface modelling, corridor modelling and quantity calculations.
• Coordinate designs with structural, environmental, utilities and geotechnical teams
• .Maintain project documentation in accordance with company BIM standards
• .Ensure drawings comply with relevant Irish design standards and client requirements.
• Support project teams through planning, detailed design and construction stages.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience using Civil 3D within an engineering consultancy.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Experience producing civil engineering drawings for infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of roads, drainage and site development design principles.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with TII road schemes, residential developments or public realm projects.
• Knowledge of BIM Level 2 workflows and Common Data Environments.
• Familiarity with Navisworks, Revit or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Experience preparing utility, earthworks and drainage models.
• Working knowledge of Irish design standards and specifications.
