Electrical Engineer – Building Services Consultancy | Dublin
Our client is a long-established, highly reputable Building Services Engineering consultancy recognised for delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Sustainable Engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors. With a strong technical team of over 60 professionals—including senior engineers, associates, and sustainability specialists—the company is known for setting high standards in design quality, energy performance, and digital engineering.
The consultancy oversees a significant volume of construction activity annually and has contributed to many major public and private sector developments throughout Ireland and overseas. Their portfolio spans Commercial Offices, Healthcare, Education, Retail, Residential, Student Accommodation, Hotels & Leisure, Government Facilities, Heritage Buildings, and complex institutional projects.
With advanced in-house capabilities in BIM, digital modelling, and sustainable design, the firm utilises industry-leading tools such as Revit, MagiCAD, IES, Amtech, and other modelling platforms to deliver coordinated, efficient, and future-ready engineering solutions.
They are now seeking an ambitious Electrical Engineer to join their expanding Dublin team.
The Role: Electrical Engineer
You will be part of a high-performing building services team, contributing to the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical engineering systems across a variety of large-scale and technically challenging projects.
This role offers excellent exposure to complex developments, modern digital tools, and opportunities for career progression into senior and team-lead positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, life safety, communications, and specialist services
- Produce technical drawings, specifications, and design calculations
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, sustainability, structural, and architectural teams
- Use BIM and modelling software to deliver coordinated designs
- Assist with site inspections, commissioning support, and technical reporting
- Engage with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Support the delivery of projects from concept to handover
- Contribute to continuous improvement and the adoption of emerging technologies
About You:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- 3+ years experience within a consultancy environment (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of Irish/UK electrical standards and building regulations
- Experience using Revit, IES, Amtech or similar design tools
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Keen interest in sustainable design and energy-efficient solutions
