Access Talent Group are recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Highways Engineer to join our dynamic team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of highways infrastructure, contributing to the improvement and expansion of transportation networks in the region. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact in the field of highways engineering.
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status is highly desirable
- Proven experience in the design and delivery of highways infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and sustainability.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MXROAD, and MicroStation
- In-depth knowledge of relevant design codes, standards, and best practices in highways engineering
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with clients, team members, and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating teams to achieve project objectives
- Commitment to professional development and staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the field of highways design
The role:
- Production of drawings, calculations, reports and design documents
- Independently use design software, including AutoCAD, Microdrainage / WinDes, Civil 3D, KeySign and Lighting Reality
- Knowledge of the implementation of the designers’ duties as required under CDM(2015)
- Follow and contribute to Link Engineering procedures for completing work to the highest standard and adding value to the schemes we deliver
- Coordinate with project engineers, engineering technicians and senior team involved in scheme delivery
- Awareness of design guides and standards
- Liaise with clients and third parties
- Identify and manage risks within your area of responsibility
- Complete site visits to review project constraints and the construction process as required within schemes
