Junior Structural Engineer

As a Junior Structural Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers and project teams on a variety of exciting projects. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of structural calculations, reports, and drawings for a range of building and infrastructure projects.
• Support senior engineers in the design and detailing of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
• Work with BIM technicians to develop 2D and 3D models.
• Conduct site visits and inspections, reporting on progress and quality control.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other design disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with Irish and European codes, standards, and regulations.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to design discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Level 8 or above) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 0–2 years of post-graduate experience (recent graduates welcome).
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla Tedds, Robot, SCIA, or similar).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit is an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team environment.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.

Desirable

• Progress toward or interest in chartership (IEI/IStructE).
• Internship or co-op experience in a structural engineering setting.
