ATG are seeking an experienced Lead Precast Detailer to join a dynamic precast concrete team in Dublin.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the production of detailed construction drawings and design models for precast concrete components. This position involves collaboration with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with both project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precast detailing, CAD software, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of precast detailers in developing detailed drawings and 3D models for precast concrete structures, including walls, floors, beams, columns, and other components.
- Interpret architectural and structural plans, ensuring that all designs meet project specifications and comply with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and external clients to coordinate project requirements and ensure timely delivery of drawings.
- Manage detailing workflows, ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency across all design outputs.
- Review and approve technical drawings, providing feedback and guidance to junior detailers.
- Oversee revisions of design drawings and models based on project changes, ensuring that all modifications are accurately captured and communicated.
- Prepare bill of materials (BOM), schedules, and fabrication drawings.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and changes in precast concrete design standards.
- Mentor and train junior detailers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Monitor project timelines and workloads, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in precast detailing or a related field, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, or similar CAD and BIM software.
- In-depth knowledge of precast concrete production, detailing processes, and construction techniques.
- Strong understanding of Irish and European building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.
