Mechanical Engineer

The role

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of data centre projects in the Frankfurt region. You’ll join a multi-disciplinary team delivering mission-critical facilities—supporting everything from concept and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.

This is a great role for an engineer who enjoys technically complex environments, fast-paced delivery, and working closely with clients, contractors, and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical engineering inputs across data centre projects (new build and fit-out), including HVAC, chilled water systems, ventilation, and pressurisation
• Produce and review design calculations, specifications, and technical reports
• Support the development and review of mechanical layouts, schematics, and equipment schedules
• Coordinate with electrical, CSA, commissioning, and construction teams to ensure integrated design and buildability
• Attend and contribute to design reviews, technical workshops, and client meetings
• Review contractor/subcontractor submissions (method statements, RAMS, technical submittals) for compliance
• Support site inspections, issue resolution, and quality checks
• Assist with commissioning planning, witnessing, snagging, and handover documentation
• Ensure designs and installations comply with relevant standards, codes, and best practices for mission-critical environments

What we’re looking for

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience delivering mechanical packages in data centres and/or other mission-critical environments (pharma, cleanrooms, hospitals, high-tech manufacturing)
• Comfortable working with drawings/models and technical documentation (experience with BIM is a plus)
• Able to work on-site in/around Frankfurt as required - Or Rotation./ 

Nice to have

• German language skills (helpful, not required depending on project/client)
• Experience with commissioning and witnessing performance testing
• Familiarity with European standards and local permitting constraints
• Exposure to consultants, contractors, or client-side delivery teams (any is fine)
