Access have partnered with a British Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy who are expanding their team in Newcastle. Our client has Highways, Structural and Geotechnical Engineers in their ranks, and it’s the geotechnical team that is looking for a Principal Engineer after a period of growth and success on UK based projects. Our client focusses across multiple sectors, including infrastructure, rail, highways, energy, high-rise and basement construction.

In this role as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will be supporting the Technical Director and Senior Leadership with mentoring and managing more junior and inexperienced members of the design team. in this role, you’ll be expected to push yourself hard, managing project delivery, acting as a technical knowledge and advice beacon, getting involved with  hands on design work, and proving yourself suitable for AD and Manager roles by setting an example with BD/Commercial development.

 

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • 7+ years’ experience working in a face paced Geotechnical Design consultancy
     
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or similar
     
  • Plaxis 2D and 3D software experience
     
  • The right to live and work in the UK
     
  • The ability to be based around Newcastle
     
  • A desire to get involved in the nitty gritty of runnng a team
