We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing transport consultancy for a Principal Consultant to join their Planning team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced transport planning professional to take a leading role across a range of UK and international development and infrastructure projects, working closely with clients, design teams and key stakeholders.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing projects across the transport planning and development environment, while also supporting client relationships and business development.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing transport planning and development projectsAdvising clients on transport and infrastructure requirementsWorking with multidisciplinary design teams and stakeholdersSupporting client relationships and project deliveryContributing to business development and winning new workMentoring and supporting junior team membersContributing to sustainable transport and wider industry initiatives

About You

We are looking for someone with:

5+ years' relevant transport planning experiencePrivate-sector development experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent report-writing abilityStrong analytical and numerical skillsExperience managing or mentoring peopleStrong stakeholder management and influencing skillsA proactive and solutions-focused approachAn interest in sustainable transport and the future of the built environment
