We are currently seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with a specialisation in Civil Engineering to join our client's dynamic team. Our client is a leading firm in the civil engineering sector, known for their innovative projects and commitment to excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to cutting-edge projects and further their career in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs for civil engineering projects.
  • Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to project specifications.
  • Monitoring and controlling project costs, including tracking expenses, variations, and change orders.
  • Providing financial advice and support to project stakeholders, including cost forecasting and risk analysis.
  • Conducting valuations and preparing payment applications.
  • Negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to achieve the best terms and prices.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and processes.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) is a plus.
