Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a leading concrete specialist company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. With a reputation for delivering high-quality concrete solutions on a variety of construction projects, they are looking for a dynamic professional who can contribute to their continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for concrete projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Managing contracts, including contract administration and negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conducting regular site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring that work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments to subcontractors.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide financial advice and ensure effective cost control.
• Preparing and submitting financial reports, including cost forecasts and project valuations.
• Resolving any disputes that may arise regarding contract terms or financial matters.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the concrete or wider construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of cost management and contract administration.
• Familiarity with relevant construction and safety regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, project management software, and cost estimation tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
