Resident Engineer - Inis Oirr

ATG are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee construction works on port infrastructure projects on Inis Oírr.

The role will be site-based and responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, in accordance with design, specifications, and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Engineer’s Representative on site for port and marine works.
• Supervise contractors’ activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Monitor quality, programme, and health & safety performance.
• Inspect works, witness testing, and certify completed works.
• Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and progress reports.
• Liaise with contractors, designers, local authorities, and island stakeholders.
• Support environmental and coastal protection requirements.

Skills & Experience

• Experience as Resident Engineer or Site Engineer on marine, coastal, or port projects.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering works, including concrete, marine structures, and earthworks.
• Knowledge of Irish construction standards, health & safety, and contract administration.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, island-based environment.
