Senior Mechanical Engineer

A leading design consultancy in Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its team. Key Responsibilities include leading the mechanical engineering design process for major pharmaceutical and industrial projects, developing and implementing innovative mechanical solutions that meet both client specifications and industry standards. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will oversee the design of HVAC systems, piping, and other mechanical systems for cleanrooms, laboratories, and production facilities. Collaboration is essential, as the role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, project managers, and engineers from various disciplines. The successful candidate will manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful and timely project delivery, and will also provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and safety standards is a critical aspect of this role.

Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least seven years of experience in mechanical engineering design, ideally within the pharmaceutical sector. The candidate should be proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms and possess in-depth knowledge of HVAC, piping systems, and cleanroom environments. A proven track record of successfully leading engineering projects from concept to completion, along with excellent communication and leadership skills, is essential. Chartered Engineer status, or progress towards it, is a strong advantage.
