An industry-leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Dublin office. About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with an award-winning team delivering complex, innovative, and sustainable building services designs. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll lead the mechanical design and coordination on major projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the continuous evolution of sustainable and future-ready building strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver mechanical design packages from concept to completion
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including electrical, sustainability, BIM, and architectural disciplines
- Provide technical leadership on HVAC, low-carbon systems, and mechanical infrastructure
- Support digital design processes using BIM and simulation tools
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure technical excellence and compliance
- Contribute to sustainability strategies, retrofitting, and energy-efficient design
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and support staff
Ideal Candidate:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a mechanical design role, ideally in a consultancy setting
- Deep understanding of building regulations, energy codes, and green building standards
- Proficiency in software such as Revit, IES, and AutoCAD
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passionate about sustainability, innovation, and quality design
