Our client is a leading construction company specializing in high-quality residential projects. With a robust portfolio of luxury homes, bespoke developments, and large-scale residential complexes, they pride themselves on delivering excellence in every aspect of their work. Due to continued growth and upcoming projects, they are now seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.

Role Overview

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of our client's residential projects. Your expertise will ensure cost-effective solutions, adherence to budgets, and maximization of project profitability without compromising on quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Management: Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for residential construction projects.
  • Contract Administration: Oversee contract negotiations, preparation, and administration, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Financial Control: Monitor project expenditures, manage variations, and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure financial stability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and effective collaboration.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and efficient project delivery.
  • Value Engineering: Provide cost-saving solutions and value engineering opportunities without compromising on quality or project requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the residential construction sector.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional Accreditation: MRICS or equivalent professional membership is desirable.
