Our client is one of the leading construction contractors internationally, with its annual turnover increasing year on year. The current opportunity is for aspiring / proven Site Engineers to join an already established project and team. Their client book is strong and promises security, working nationally on some of the largest flagship projects, in Ireland, UK and Europe. The order book / projects to tender can boast a number of projects within construction: Residential, Commercial and Large - Scale Industrial.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in Kildare. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of commercial construction projects from inception to completion
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth and efficient project execution
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, building codes, and safety standards
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to optimize efficiency and minimize delays
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety performance
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, resolving any on-site issues or challenges
- Collaborate with project managers to report on project status, risks, and potential opportunities for improvement
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, drawings, and change orders
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role, with a focus on commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools for project planning and scheduling
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a multidisciplinary team
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges on-site
- In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
