Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to interpret design specifications and create detailed steel fabrication drawings.
- Utilize CAD software to produce accurate shop drawings, erection plans, and material lists.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the detailing process.
- Coordinate with production teams to facilitate seamless fabrication and assembly processes.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback and project requirements.
- Maintain organized documentation and project files for reference and future use.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Structural Steel Detailer or similar role within the steel fabrication industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel design principles, techniques, and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as AISC, AWS, and OSHA regulations.
Education & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Certification in structural detailing or CAD drafting is a plus.
