Job Title: HVAC Technical Support Engineer – Pre-Sales & Post-Sales (MEHITS Focus)
Location: Clane, Co. Kildare
Travel: Ireland-wide with occasional European travel
Overview:
A leading name in the Irish HVAC industry is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join its expanding team. This role will provide both pre-sales and post-sales engineering support, focusing particularly on the MEHITS product range (https://www.melcohit.com/en), part of the Mitsubishi Electric group. The successful candidate will support sales and project activity across Ireland and occasionally Europe, providing a bridge between design, engineering, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:Sales & Design Support
Provide timely and accurate technical information for tenders, submittals, and plant schedules.
Perform load calculations (heating, cooling, ventilation, basic water services and waste).
Prepare 2D drawings and sketches; create and update AutoCAD drawings as needed.
Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to support HVAC system proposals and designs.
Attend client and design meetings, representing the company in a technical capacity.
Project Administration
Assist with tender management and contract handovers.
Maintain and update project-related files and internal databases.
Support document preparation for contracts, including technical submittals, extras, and variations.
General Office & Marketing Support
Assist with KPI tracking and internal reporting alongside the office manager.
Maintain and update the client activity database.
Support marketing efforts by contributing to the company website and attending HVAC seminars and trade shows.
Assist in identifying and targeting new business opportunities and clients.
Contribute to ad hoc projects as required.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in HVAC industry, ideally with DX systems (VRF/VRV, Splits, etc.).
(Advantageous) Prior involvement in data centre HVAC projects.
Strong AutoCAD and technical drawing skills.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and effectively.
Willingness to travel locally and occasionally across Europe for training or support.
Professional and presentable with strong interpersonal skills.
