Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and apply strategic and local transport models using industry-standard software (e.g. SATURN, VISUM, CUBE, EMME, VISSIM, Aimsun).
- Analyse transport and travel demand data, including traffic counts, surveys, and GPS/mobile datasets.
- Prepare forecasts and scenario tests to evaluate the performance of proposed schemes or policies.
- Contribute to business cases, appraisal reports, and technical documentation for clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines (planning, engineering, environmental) to provide integrated solutions.
- Support the development of innovative modelling techniques, automation tools, and data visualisation approaches.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, presenting findings in a clear and compelling way.
About You
- Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Geography, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience in transport modelling and appraisal, with practical knowledge of one or more modelling platforms (e.g. SATURN, VISUM, CUBE, EMME, VISSIM, Aimsun).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Python, R, GIS).
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
