Are you a Transport Planner looking to join a small, ambitious consultancy where your work truly matters? Our client is an organically growing transport planning practice specialising in private sector development projects. They are looking for Transport Planners of all grades, from Graduate +2 years’ experience through to Director level. This job description is generalist; responsibilities and expectations will vary depending on your experience, and we will discuss the specifics for your level.

What the Role Involves:

  • Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and other planning documents.
  • Analysing transport data, trip generation, and traffic impacts.
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver practical transport solutions.
  • Working across all stages of development projects, from feasibility to planning approvals.
  • Contributing to business growth and mentoring junior staff (for mid/senior roles).

What You’ll Bring:

  • Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in transport planning (graduate through senior level).
  • Knowledge of transport assessment guidance (NPPF, IANs, TA/TS).
  • Familiarity with traffic modelling software is a plus (VISSIM, VISUM, LinSig, TRICS).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
